The village Mégève, nearby the Mont Blanc is together with Chamonix the most important place for winter sports in the higher parts of savoie, with 300 kilometres of very varied slopes. Besides first-class steep slopes you'll also find easier descents through the wide northern slopes. From Mégève there is a connection with the area of Rochebrune, which in turn is connected with the biggest skiing area of Mégève, the Mont d'Arbois. From here you can go to Mont Joux, where you have a view on the Mont Blanc. There are varied cross country skiing possibilities in the whole area. Mégève has 76 kilometres of loipes.
