La Rosière is the one and only ski area which is situated at the Southern area of the Haute-Tarentaise. Thanks to this it's breaking all sun and snow records in the area. La Rosière has an unspoiled area where the apartments are still bing made of stone and wood with a slate roof. The area has a splendid location in the woods and hasn't lost the authentic character.
If you like to do some winter sports, one can amuse hisself very well in this splendid international area, partly thanks to the connection with Italian La Thuile. La Rosiere has 32 pistes with a total length of 60 km which can be reached via 19 different lifts. These lifts are also suitable for snowboarders, monoskiers, and even disabled skiers. With an extended lift pass, you can use 62 pistes with a total length of 140 km. Other supplies in this area are a snow park, a ski-jump, a slalompiste and for cross-country skiers 14 km of prepared loipes.
