Varied ski area for both beginning and advanced skiers. Nowadays La Plagne is formed by eleven villages. These villages are connected with each other through good pistes and a good lift system. In these splendid surroundings there is more than 200 km of pistes. Advanced skiers can take two black slopes on the glacier of Bellecôte and steep off-piste descents.
La Plagne is the only French ski area with an Olympic bobsleigh track that as a length of 1,5 kilometres. There is an artificial tower 'Tour de Glace' that you can climb as well. There are also two snow parks for snowboarders. Every week there is a boarder cross too.
Just above Montchavin and Les Choches there is the Vanoise Express that will take you to Peisey-Vallandry, which is situated in the ski area Les Arcs. The Vanoise Express is a big cabin lift (capacity of more than 200 persons), that will transport you to this area. The distance of 1800 metres is made in just 4 minutes! Thanks to this connection you can ski in two big ski areas, which form Paradiski together (with 425 kilometres of slopes!).
The loipes of 100 km swing through a wild landscape and lay rather spread throughout the whole skiing area. Access to the loipes is everywhere free of charge, except in Champagny.
There are Bigfoot-journeys. For this you get help at Ecole du Ski Francais, Evolution 2 and Espace Montagne.
