Chalet Edelweiss am See is located in Thumersbach, on the south shore of Lake Zell and near Zell am See. The chalet consists of seven nicely furnished apartments, most of which have balconies with lake views. The AreitXpress cabin elevator in Zell am See/Schüttdorf, which takes you to the top of the Schmittenhöhe (2000 m), is 4.5 km away. This elevator can be reached by car or by free ski bus, which stops right outside the door. Furthermore, the snow-sure glacier ski area of Kaprun is less than 15 km away.

The center of the ski resort of Zell am See is about 6.5 km from Apartments Edelweiss am See. Two more ski elevators, among others, depart from Zell am See to the summit of the Schmittenhöhe. Zell am See also has an attractive center with many stores, restaurants, après-ski bars and you can also visit facilities such as an ice-skating rink and indoor swimming pool. The nearest supermarket is in Thumersbach (approx. 2.5 km away), but there are also many stores to and from the AreitXpress (Schüttdorf).

In chalet Edelweiss am See you can make free use of the sauna and there is Wi-Fi. There is also a ski storage room with ski boot dryer and plenty of parking space in front of the door. Bread roll service is possible.

Additional rental equipment you pick up in Zell am See or Kaprun, the ski rental is in the center of both villages and near a number of ski elevators. Ski lessons start from the AreitXpress in Zell am See (other locations on request).

In all likelihood, the ski area near Zell am See itself will be closed from April 7, 2024. From then on, your ski pass can of course still be used on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier at Kaprun.

Layout

This type exists out of 6 apartments in Edelweiss am See which is ideally for bigger groups that would like to stay under one roof but do appreciate some privacy.

Aside from the 6 apartment you also have exclusive use of the communal and professional kitchen including a dining area for max. 50 persons. The fully equipped and completely renewed kitchen has 6 hotplates, an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, electric kettle and two dishwashers. The kitchen and dining area can be found on the first floor, right next to the front door.

4-6 person apartment Schmittenhöhe:
This apartment is situated on the first floor.
Living room with a sitting corner, TV and a dining corner. Open kitchen with e.g. hotplates, an oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine and an electric kettle.
Two bedrooms, of which one with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds and two bunk beds. Bathroom with a shower. Separate toilet.

6-person apartment Imbachhorn:
This apartment is situated on the second floor.
