General description
Chalet Piccola Pietra is a charming, comfortable chalet with a private sauna and fire place situated in the traditional mountain village Le Villaret. This is a small hamlet at about 5 minutes from Vallandry and about 600 metres from Peisey, where you can go to for your daily shopping. Here you will also find ski rental and some bars and restaurants.
From Villaret there is a free lift (Lonzagne, found at 350 metres from Chalet Piccola Pietra) which will take you to the heart of Peisey-Vallandry, and is also an easy way to get to the Vanoise Express. This lift is in use from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. (subject to change).
The chalet is semi-detached (Piccola Pietra, left side) and is built in traditional style with a lot of wood and natural stone. From the terrace you have a beautiful view on the Vanoise mountains. Parking possibilities in front of the chalet. Since the chalet is situatied in the highest part of the hamlet, the big windows in the living room offer a fantastic unblocked view over the valley.
Layout
This chalet is divided over three floors.
Cosy living room with a seating area with a fireplace and a television. This room offers access to a terrace with a splendid view due to the big "panorama-window" the room is nice and bright. The kitchen is separated from the living room with a bar. The kitchen has e.g. a dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, an oven and microwave. Moreover, the chalet has a private sauna, washing machine and dryer, free Internet (Wi-Fi), a ski storage and partly underfloor heating.
Four bedrooms with two single beds each. One of these bedrooms is under a sloped roof and therefore has a limited standing height. Three bathrooms, of which two with shower and one with bath. Two separated toilets.

Small bathrooms, main bathroom only had a tub. Poor cleaning. A sauna in the barn which meant you had to cross the street to get back to the apartment. Too little/incomplete crockery. Nice owner who does his best but does not speak a word of English (which was indicated). Nice wood stove and we could use washer and dryer.
